Ways to Drive with Onyx
Pick your lane
Onyx runs flatbed and hotshot freight across all 48 states, and we have room for company drivers and owner operators alike. Whichever way you drive, you get the same deal: percentage pay, weekly settlements, and a dispatch team that knows you by name.
01
Flatbed is harder work. We treat it that way.
Tarping in the wind. Chaining down a load in the rain. Flatbed drivers earn their money, and too many companies act like that effort is just part of the deal. Not here.
At Onyx, your dispatcher knows you by name and answers when you call, day or night. No micromanaging, no automated call center, no getting treated like a number. We're family-owned, and we keep it personal because that's the only way we know how to run a company.
We require two years of commercial experience minimum. The bar is there because every driver in an Onyx truck represents Onyx on the road — to the customer, to the dispatcher on the line, and to every other rig sharing the lane.
Our Flatbed Services02
Hotshot runs for drivers who like to keep moving
Hotshot is time-sensitive freight — the loads a customer pays a premium to move right now, on a truck that can get on the road fast. Hotshot at Onyx is owner-operator work. You bring your own gooseneck or deck-over rig, and we bring the freight desk. The pace is quick and the work varies. If you already run hotshot and want a steady freight partner, we'd like to meet.
Our Hotshot Services03
Your truck. Our work. Own it.
Owner-operators run their business. We run the freight desk. If you own your truck and your trailer — flatbed, gooseneck, or deck-over — and want to put both to work without giving up control, we'd like to talk. This is a partnership for owner-ops who already know what they're doing — who can plan their own week, secure their own loads, and want a steady source of freight that respects their independence.

Step decks built for the job
You'll pull 53-foot step decks with under-trailer toolboxes for your securement gear, behind well-maintained, late-model trucks with a fridge, cabin heater, and APU on newer units. Our in-house maintenance team keeps everything road-ready, and if your truck's down for more than a few days, we'll put you in another one so you keep earning.

OTR across all 48, with a load when you want one
There's always freight. Run as much as you want and take home time when you need it. Flatbed experience is preferred but not required; if you've got the driving experience and the work ethic, we'll talk.
Oversized, expedited, and everything flatbed
Onyx Logistics specializes in freight that doesn't fit in a box: oversized and heavy haul, expedited shipments, flatbed, and hotshot across all 48 states. You'll deal directly with problem-solvers who treat your load like it matters, because it does.
Ready to get paid like a flatbed driver should?
We're looking for experienced drivers who want a percentage of every load and a company that has their back. Two years of driving experience is preferred; flatbed experience helps but isn't required. Apply in minutes or talk to a real recruiter today.
